Hi, this is the largest Tachinid I've seen - found in W-Hungary, July. Only saw it for a blink but it seemed to be around 2 cm. Maybe Nemoraea?

It is quite unusual. It is a male (vertex, pulvilli), however, the orange markings on the abdomen are hardly visible..... Theo |
