Ah this one I know: it is Tipula luna, a male. It can be recognised by the white 'lunula' spot on the wing, though I don't know ho specific that is, but even better by the downward pointing tuft of orange hairs on the 8th sternite of the abdomen. This species occurs in wet places like moors and fens. Klaas it is a good idea to include a picture of the genitalia. If possible, make a picture of the dorsal as well as the lateral view, and possibly also posterior. Edited by Louis Boumans on 28-12-2008 19:03 |
