Hello! A rather light Muscid (I think) from 1st of December (northwest Germany) at a fence. Not too small (about 10 mm). Could it be Phaonia perdita? 960x960 picture: http://www.foto-u...0mm_W3.jpg I don't know, whether this is the same species (wing posture seems different). Unfortunately I don't remember, if it had the same size. ![]() http://www.foto-u...0mm_W4.jpg Juergen Peters attached the following image: ![]() [72.57Kb] Edited by Juergen Peters on 10-12-2008 23:14 Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Hello, Joke and Lars! lagura wrote: Perhaps Hylemya vagans (8 - 11mm) ![]() Of course there were many Anthomyiids around at the same time, that I thought were Hylemya vagans/nigrimana. See my previous threads: http://www.dipter...d_id=18168 http://www.dipter...d_id=18166 But those were considerably smaller (I had noted 6 mm). But I will change the subject accordingly.
