Uh, I know, the photos are horrible, but maybe someone with very good eyes can help me.

I think this could be Physiphora alceae. Sadly its not possible to see the eyes very good but the head seems to be reddish.

Are there other genera with a similar habitus?

Thank you so much Paul, I really did not hope to get an answer. I did not know where to start and than I found a photo very similar to mine. But I know that normally that is not the way to identify a fly.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
