Quite common in the the Malaise sample I just sorted Bog at 1485 m Kerkini Mts: Greece June 30th to July 6th 2008. Possibly another Sapromyza (Sapromyzosoma) species.

I think this is more likely to be Calliopum elisae.

I think Katerina (and Paul initially) is correct. I looked at the distance between the two points on the paramere, and in Shatalkin's (2000) figures it is much more similar to C. elisae (although not perfect). I should have looked at a few specimens instead - indeed more like C. simillimum!

Hi,
C.simillimum is very common species in Czech republic and S, elesae is not rare too, so I now them very good. The genitalia are very different, but pictures in Shatalkin are not so good, better pictures of some palaearctic genitalia are in this work:Remm E. & Elberg K. 1979 Terminaly much Lauxaniidae (Diptera), najděnych v Estonii, Latvii i Litve Dipteroloogilisi Uurimusi, Tartu p. 66 -117
C. elisae has 4 rows of acrostichal setas, C. simillimum 6, The big hooked cross surstili are typical for C. elisae.

Wow,
Lots of interesting response. My thanks to you all, especially Katka.

I have also another very similar specimen from the same sample, with 4 rows of Acrostichals (I think) is this C. elisae or something else?
