Hello!

On Sunday (sunny, 6 °C) I took many Calliphora pictures (most of them much better than these... Cool), hoping that these winter days I would find some other species than vicina. But all turned out to have a perfectly pink or yellow face Frown. This is the only one, I'm not sure of. A male that tried to escape by letting itself drop... At house, northwest Germany.

This is vicina. Reddish gena, yellow basicosta.
Evenin december the most common Calliphora.
But keep looking for those loewi's !!
