Can anyone help with this one? I thought it might have been Empis pennipes, but then realised the specimen only has a short proboscis. Female, 2.5mm, from 19 May 2008, lowland (95masl) central France, la Brenne, in field occasionally grazed by cattle, but showing signs of scrub regeneration.
