Could have been helped by some wing venation. I am no expert but it looks like a Muscid that might be a Calliphorid.

Thanks, I add some (bad) photos for the wing venation.
Vein M1 not curving forward and arista non plumose (if I see well) so not Calliphoridae.
Perhaps as you say Spilosoma or as for your post Muscidae of the Spilogona - Limnophora group but I don't know the features that must be seen.....and why not a female of Anthomyiidae ?

Don't think it's an anthomyiid, head looks wrong, and squamae too large. I would guess a Spilogona oor Fannia?

I agree that it doesn't have an Anthomyiidae face. Katepisternal arrangement could be 1:2 (difficult to see). If I'm not wrong, the frons bears a proclinate orbital. In combination with pd on t3, and narrow genae/parafacialiae, this leaves us Thricops or Hydrotaea...I can't see any that could match to this fly...
Nikita ?

I cannot even be Hydrotaea, since there are only 3 post dc !
Really, I think this fly is for Michael. Smile

Sorry I can't really help, it could be a female anthomyiid. I would need to knoow the following: are there fine pale hairs under the tip of the scutellum?. Clear view of anal vein; dorsal setae on hind tibia; are there setulae under wing on costal vein?; is there a short setula under hind tarsus near base? None of these will show up on a general photo.
Does it look like a female Azelia? I don't have any muscids anymore in my collection.

I had thought to Azelia, looks very like indeed, but shouldn't have a pd on hind tibia. I give up.
