Hello! Is this 4 mm fly a Sphaerocerid? On 11th October in our garden (northwest Germany). Bigger, but still less sharp: http://www.foto-u...grey_2.jpg Juergen Peters attached the following image: [31.45Kb] Edited by Juergen Peters on 27-11-2008 10:29 Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Looks like a heleomyzid because of the spiny bristles along the costa.
