From previous threads i understand it is not C. pallidus or C. crystallinus, because of lacking rings on femura and tibia or because of the colour of the abdomen.

Then it should be C. flavicans or C. obscuripes (in the Netherlands).

Any ideas about this?

Regards

Klaas

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
