Feeding on the same yellow flowers as the previous one. Semiarid scrubland. 20 October 2008. 300 masl, Murcia, SE Spain. Aprox. 10-12 mm.

Looks interesting. First impression is that of some Stomina. For that, the arista should be at least slightly plumose. Maybe you can check the original. Theo |

I think you mean the base of the arista, the hairs are 'clearly' present. Hypothesis confirmed. Theo |

Thanks Theo, I did not want to be to optimistic. I have not found much about Stomina in the WEB. ¿Is it not possible to ID to species level? |
