Small very odd looking fly in leaf litter- about 3mm body length- taken today South Coast UK.
Any ideas ?

The spot character for the family is the short, fat hind metatarsus. Although the wing venation is not visible, this is probably an Ischiolepta: they tend to be the scabby looking ones.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
