a rare fly in Beijing

is there someone can help me to ID this long tongue fly? it's a perfect pollinator of delphinium. i found it at the alpine meadow of Beijing, Aug. 19. beeny attached the following image: [74.94Kb] beeny |

It is in the small family of Nemestrinidae. The wing venation is typical, all the veins near the apex. I caught similar one in Kyrgyzstan this summer. Theo |
