hi flyforum, from what I can see with this fly; Basal antennal segments an base of flagellomere reddish/yellow (P.valida) size > 10cm 2 prescutellar ac. (P. valida en P. errans) no posterior setae: P. valida en errans crossveins are a bit infuscated. End of scutellum got a orange/red colouring It is P. valida or P. errans but I don't know the differences.. It is Phaonia valida : you can see that the apical part of M1+2 is slightly curved, and frontal triangle is short.

thank you Stephane, I see that apical part of M1 + M2 is slightly curved (see drawing) but where can I find the frontal triangle? I looked in my book but did not find it..
