My choice would have been H. depuncta...
( because of the bluish shine of the thorax)
I thought that impuncta is more yellow....on the thorax.

But I let me gladly convince otherwise....Grin

I agree that the scutum's somewhat dark for Helina impuncta, that's why I said "I think...". On the other hand, it is not Helina depuncta which has only 3 postsutural dc.

I'd add that flies like H. impuncta appear yellow due to dense yellowish pollinosity, but the ground colour is black. This one must be a bit worn. Smile
