Hello ! I found this fly today on the inflorescence of Apiaceae species (first of all Seseli annuum). Its flight was relative slow. Size: 6-8mm; Locality: NW-Hungary; Habitat: loessal hill, dry steppe vegetation Is it identifiable from these two pictures? Thanks in advance. jaurinum attached the following image: ![]() [180.81Kb] Edited by jaurinum on 12-10-2008 13:05 |

Hello Chris and thank you for the help. The species is not identifiable? I see (named) female specimen only about E. leucoptera in the gallery, which seems different to my fly. Thank you in advance. Edited by jaurinum on 12-10-2008 13:17 |

That is correct. This is either crassipennis or oblonga, but it is not leucoptera. See previous threads on Ectophasia. Theoi |
