I think that this fly was putting eggs in the ear of the grass, between seed ... It's possible?  cropped from the photo:  Is it possible to identify this Asilidae? thanks! |

Although the ovipositor isn't visible, it seems to be a female of Machimus chrysitis, compare with the image on http://commons.wi..._chrysitis |
