Dear Paul, it is the same , I used to prefer this nomenclature, it is in Fauna Europaea and Czech checklist too. Hear in diptera info people usually use nomenclature according to Shatalkin, so I respect it, but yesterday I forgot. I am soory for desorientation .Katka |

No worries, we all used to say Lyciella (and still do sometimes). But I have to say that Meiosimyza seems to be an older, perfectly valid name.

LoL, sometimes you get chastised for not using the Fauna Europaea nomenclature, at other times it is the reverse.
