Today I've photographed this tiny bombylid in "El Burgo de Ebro", Zaragoza Ebro valley, NE Spain, a location near my city, dominated by gypsiferous steppe-lands with above all Rosmarinus officinalis, also Salsola vermiculata, Salsola kali, Krascheninikovia ceratoides, Helianthemum nummularium, Gypsophila struthium ssp. hispanica and Artemisia herba-alba. The landscape is not plain and the day have been very windy. There are also some wheat fields and roads in the zone. The fly sizes about 15 mm. long.![]() Thanks, Regards |
