Ant-like fly, which family?

Second most striking finding on my holidays. I saw this fly running along small decaying branches in a Quercus robur forest edge and until I approached I thought it was an ant! Might it be a Sepsidae? Thanks! Miquel Filex attached the following image: ![]() [71.78Kb] |

is Myrmecomyia/Myrmecomya a valid genus? I think that Cephalia is the correct name, and that Ulidiidae is the name of the family. |
