Hoverfly larvae?

Any ideas on this?- suspect it is a hoverfly larvae- about 6mm long on an aphid infested Acer tree taken yesterday South coast UK.

H4ello Brian,
Yes, it is a hoverfly larva from the Syrphini.
I think this might be the larva of Syrphus ribesii, which occurs in different color forms. They feed on aphids.
