Hi,

I'm waiting for my new book to key out the diptera-families (Pjotr Oosterbroek), but I have just got my hands on a wonderfull key for Tachinidae;

So, is this a Tachinidae? If it is a Tachinidae, don't tell me which one, so I can key this one out.Pfft

Many thanks, Jonas

It's a Tachinid indeed.

Can't say much more from this pic (the wing venation suggests Exoristini)

Thank you for your answer;

This afternoon I checked the fly, and after some trial-error, I got to Exorista larvarum.
Could this be correct? And should I post it to the gallery?

More tachinidae!CoolPfft

Looks a bit too small to be E.larvarum - and there are too many alternatives that we can't eliminate Smile

Much too small.

Looks more like Bessa, but this is really speculation.

Hi,

I'll first do some easier Tachinids (Ectophasia for example). Then I will come back to this one. I don't really find it... I kind of underestimated the TachinidaeFrown

But I wrote it down to reply it here when I find out which one it is.

To be continued... Wink

bye, Jonas
