i don't know but the upward bristles depart from proepisternum. From humeral callus depart 2 reclinate bristles. |

no. Siphona has a conspicuous proboscis for example, which is not the case. Also the profile of head is not typical for it. Keep up trying. |

Well, I think it is a Tachinid, but beyond that I have absolutely no idea, so Chris definitely needs to stop messing about with the mega-fauna and take a look. Perhaps offer the bear a beer and set it down to watch the Olympics on telly if it's at a loose end with no one to wrestle?

the profile head is unmistakable for Leskia. Leskia has upwards brisltes on abdomen too (not seen here though). |
