Saw this on a fence beside some woods north of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire UK. It was on the 8th July 2006.

It looks like Eutolmus rufibarbis to me, but I would welcome some expert advice as I think that would be quite unusual.

I don't know why you think this record would be unusual, but I can tell you that you are quite right with your identification. It is a female Eutolmus rufibarbis.

Thanks very much, just thought they were scarce around where I live.
