14 July, Kell am See (100 east of Luxemburg). Rough road between unmowed flowery meadow and spruce forest. Decent size, say Calliphora-like. Regrettably, this is the only view point I have a photo from. Does it suffice for an ID?

This is a male Phaonia valida (slight apical bent of M1+2 OK for this species).
