Pat - what is the plant it is sitting on? Apiaceae, but not one I recognise - all parts of the plant appear very pale. Is it a garden plant or in the wild?

in my souvenir it is simply Daucus carota, a big one, a close shot and photoshop touch !! a wild plant indeed.

Pat - the more I thought about it the more convinced I was that it was just a pale looking D carota, so you have put my mind at rest.
