No, (there's no long jointed proboscis and Siphona spp. are not black) but it could end up in a box labelled "Actia sp." Looks like there are hairs on r1, r4+5 (beyond r-m) and cu, which is fairly unusual in tachinids. Would be nice to know how much of r1 has hairs ![]() |

Chris is right, it is Actia. Shape of third antennal segment suggests male A. pilipennis Theo |

Looks like there are hairs on r1, r4+5 (beyond r-m) and cu, which is fairly unusual in tachinids. Would be nice to know how much of r1 has hairs
