Dear forum,

I took this picture today in my garden. The bristles at the end of the abdomen make me think of Tachinidae. Is that correct and can it be further identified?

Best regards, Niek

The narrow abdomen and long hairs/bristles on the thorax would suggest Anthomyidae Smile

Dear Chris,

Thank you for your reply. So my thinking was not correct, which is not unusual....

Best regards, Niek
