Hi,
Today I saw this small metallic fly working on Anthemis ruthenica and hoped it would be no Lucilia this time, but obviously in vain. Is a species guess possible? I have much more pics, if another angle is needed.
Many thanks, Sundew

Yes, sericata male. Pale basicosta means sericata or richardsii the only possiblities in Germany. The width of the separation of the eyes and the extensive dusting tell me sericata, not richardsii, even though I can't tell for absolutely certain that there is only one ad on t2 (not 2-3) and that the palpi are yellow (not dark).
