I'll go for a wild stab in the dark and say Huebneria affinis - but mainly from the size of those hairy eyes and the orange border on the scutellum - looks similar to one I caught last year with Nikita. I'd prefer Theo to confirm it though as I have only seen one ![]() |

I'm sorry, but I can't tell. The scutellar bristles seem to be too large for Huebneria. It could be Pales, but I can't see the face in profile, the calyptrae, etc. As far as I'm concerned, can't even rule out Aplomyia. Theo |

OK, thanks all for trying. About Pales pavida. I ruled that one out because of the antenna locking shorter and more concave than convex as in my gallery photo of this species. It's hard to judge the size from this angle, though. |
