Hi,
We had several Phthiria threads recently, so I became acquainted with this nice bombyliid taxon. Two days ago I saw my first living one, drinking nectar on Tanacetum vulgare florets. It was really small!
According to the key (http://home.hccne...hiria.html) it should be P. canescens, as the head hairs are white and the yellow spot on the scutellum is heart-shaped. However, I cannot recognize two yellow sternites.
Can the species be confirmed? Many thanks, Sundew
