I went to our towns park today and found a few flies, which I haven't been able to iD. Any help will be appreciated.

Really this needs to be split into separate threads - otherwise it will get confusing to readers and people searching the forum posts later.

1. tachinid - Thelaira nigripes
2,3 & 5 - rhagionids - Chrysopilus sp.
4 - micropezid

Perhaps I should also have asked for a better photo of the tachinid - perhaps a lateral shot, if there is one - just to be sure Smile

And please keep unrelated images in separate threads. Wink

I will put these in different threads in the future. I thought it might be appreciated if I didn't spam the entire forum Smile

Sadly, I don't have any other shots of the tachinid, but thank you all for the iD help. Much appreciated!

PS. I would have never thought 2 and 5 were the same species!
