This was a tiny fly for an Asilinae, less than a cm. It was found on one of the islands, a typical Mediterranean habitat.

It's a species of the genus Habropogon.

Thx for pointing out the genus. Do you have a key for this genus? I have the specimen, and would be nice to get a species level id.
