Medeteras are quite frequent at the moment, and it would be great to get a species name for the depicted animal.

This Doli is a female of
Sympycnus pulicarius (Fallen, 1823) [Dolichopus] *
=Dolichopus pulicarius Fallen, 1823: Dipt.Svec. 2 (Monogr.Dolichopod.Svec.): 20 ** possible ST in MZLU, 3 males and 1 female in NHRS. Type locality: not given [Sweden]. Nearctic: USA: California; Palaearctic: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania; Russia: European part, Altai; Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey; Ukraine: Crimea, Kherson; "Yugoslavia" * Sympycnus

Oops - no Medetera! That's still better! So there are more Dolis with a "horse head", and it seems that Medetera uses to sit more erect. I'll check my photo stock for a true Medetera - there must be one...
