Joke, female of Morellia ID isn't easy even with specimen and microscop.
Chaetotaxy of fore- and hind- legs may help (but may also not help).

I wil let it be so..Grin

Next week I wil get a "return-lens" then I can make microcopic photo's....I hope.
I also find it very difficult without a key of Muscidae, to put fly's into families and species.
Perhaps it is possible you know where I can download a key for Muscidae , because I can't find it on the internet (I gladly want to know a little bit more about Muscidae)
Then I can try, to do some fly's on my one....whit the easy one's..Pfft

Thanks and greatings Joke

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
