Chironomidae family. Genus ?

I found this small 7mm midge in East Lincs, UK this week. I cannot recall seeing one before with a totally black body. From the wing venation, I presume that it is a Chironomidae. Black ones are usual in Diamesiinae and Orhtocladiinae (winter or cold weather ones), though itīs not a rule, Iīm learning and I canīt see the subfamily without wing detail, sorry |
