Another one fly for identification, but this time I think it is Tachinidae. It has very vivid pattern, so maybe it will not be very difficult to say the genus. It occurred in pea and soybean crops last July and August (this specimen found in August). Location: Voronezh region of Central European Russia (Black Earth zone). Its size is about 7-8 mm long.

Thanks in advance
Sergey

Hi there

It's a Tachinid, probably one of the Gymnosoma species. I will wait to see if anyone else can narrow it down further.

It is certainly not an ordinary Gymnosoma male.
Most likely G. dolycoridis.
