Hello,
is it possible to get an ID for this Pollenia?
Sighted on 03.08.2025 in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia in the garden.
Thank you.

Pollenia rudis, I think:
- yellow basicosta
- width of frons male and female
- colour of thorax & abdomen
but I cannot exclude P. angustigena without a sharper view of the legs!
Greetings, Eric

Hi Eric,
thank you for your reply.
This is the only good photo I have of the legs. I hope it helps.
Greetings
Bernd

Hi Bernd, yes it helps - there seem to be 2 ad-bristles on tibia 2 of the female and the femur 3 shows no yellow hairs ventrally: more likely Pollenia rudis!
Greetings, Eric
