I'd like to know whether species ID is possible here.

Lower Austria, mid October

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

Likely a female Kesselimyia chandleri, AFAICS:
- scutum grey dusted with dark stripes
- abdomen black, broad grey stripes
- host: Macrolepiota procera
- September - Oktober

Greetings, Eric

Thank you so much Eric - this might be a new species for Austria, at least I didn't see any published records.
Also, I like have eaten some of these specimens already Grin
