Hello, This Dolichopodidae male has been collected in a yellow pan trap in coastal area of Moorea, in French Polynesia. I think it is a male Chrysotus, maybe of the species crosbyi. Am I right ? Thank you for the help ! Tramage attached the following image: ![]() [98.7Kb] Edited by Tramage on 17-09-2025 07:42 |

Thank you for the genus confirmation. Do you have the pdf of this publication ? Parent O (1933) Nouvelle étude sur les Diptères Dolichopodides de la région australienne. Annales de la Société Scientifique de Bruxelles (B ) 53: 170–187. Parent described three Chrysotus species from French Polynesia in this publication, but I can't find it.
