Hi all!

Earlier this year I made a few pictures of a fly which I obviously failed to identify properly. I think it belongs to the family Asilidae, my best guess would be Dioctria sp.. Is that correct and/or is it possible to identify the species?

Germany, Garden in southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), shrub leaf, 27.05.2024, app.8 mm (I don't really remember the size properly)

Greetings, Uli

Hi Uli, I think it's a female Dioctria hyalipennis.
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner
