Northern Germany, Hamburg-Flottbek, Botanic garden, in a small artificially produced pond, 2nd of August 2024, Outsidephotos: kuv. Perhaps a Stratiomyid?
... Please help to get more ID.

Stratomyidae is correct and without seeing the head I can only guess it could be Oplodontha viridula.

Hi kuv, yes - it's quite blurry and I have no experience in the aquatic larvae. So I'm not able to decide whether we can see the "pairs of hairbrushes on the ventro-lateral side of the head" or not:
https://diptera.i...d_id=33575

But I think, we see the "somewhat angular bodysegments and the relatively short anal segment":
https://diptera.i...d_id=56425

Adding Stratiomyidae to the thread's title could help...
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner
