Hello, I observed this dipteran on May 20 in the Desvres forest in the North of France. I'm thinking of a Tephritis. What do you think ? If so, can we determine the species from the photo? Best regards, Maxime ![]() |

From the wing pattern, we can choose from this photo among Tephritis conyzifoliae, crepidis and leontodontis in the Northern France. All need ovipositor dissection.
