Tachinidae - Gonia vacua

I think this is Gonia vacua, and it might be a male, but I am aware how tricky this genus is. So a glance from someone expert to tell me where I've gone wrong would be welcome :-) I have several photos of several individuals, but no specimen. From 6 April central lowland France, in woodland.
