hi Flyforum,

What I can remember from last year, this could be Egle ciliata

Is that correct?

size ~6mm
place: willows and Alder in wet swamp
Amsterdam forest

I have looked around and can it by a Egle brevicornis ??
Becource I think I see a larger bristle on the end of cel sc

But mayby I am wrong about it ....Grin

Hi Joke,

I can not find Egle brevicornis in the Dutch specieslist.
Next to Egle Ciliata is Egle parva.

I have checkt it in the Checklist of Diptera and.....

Egle ciliata and brevicornis (and muscaria) are the same..GrinGrin

So there can by no differents between them.....I am sorry
Thats the problem whit old names that stil by used...it's confusing sometimes.

IT could be Egle Ciliata or Egle parva..

I don't have experience with Egle parva, is that a option too?

Kahis told me some time ago that Egle Ciliata is 'the early spring-Egle', that's why I was thinking about E. Ciliata.
