Hello,

I photographed this fly in the Sorgenti del Fiume Vera Nature Reserve (AQ), Italy, 600m a.s.l. on May 27th 2023. I think it is a Dolichopodidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
