Hello Forum, again a fly from the alder marshland in Hagen (D) 175 m above sea level. This photo I took on June 23rd 2007. The plant in the background is Heracleum sphondyleum. Tachinidae. Phasia. Maybe P. hemiptera female.

Chris is right, for other reasons, though. In Phasia teh eyes are even closer in females (very unusual !!). However, it's really very simple: In males the wings are strongly darkened, in females they are completely transparent Theo |
