Hello,
From wing veins, this Mycetophilidae seems to be an Exechiini (http://www.drawwing.org/insect/exechiopsis-nugax-wing). This specimen was observed on january 11th at home (north of Yonne Department, France). Do you think that that genus should be identified ? Exechiopsis may be a possibility. All my thanks for your expertise.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
