I would like to know which species I have observed.
It concerns this observation: https://observati...294152007/.
1 Spider wasp unknown - Pompilidae indet.
date: 2023-12-03
location: South Africa - Arathusa Safari Lodge

Possibly Hemipepsis/Cryptocheilus according to Hans Nieuwenhuisen (Pompilidae specialist) but unclear, unfortunately cannot be determined from the Naturalis collection. Feasted on aphids/spider mites on Impatiens-like garden plants.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
