Yesterday I photographed this small (appr. 4-5 mm) fly in our garden at Leerdam, Netherlands.
I do not really have an idea about its identity. Could anyone help? The photos are of a rather poor quality, I'm afraid.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like Coenosiini tribe (Muscidae), probably Coenosia itself.

It is a problem without visible setae. It could be also Lispocephala? (L. erythrocera in the gallery looks similar in overall view).

You are right, Martin. It is almost certainly Lispocephala erythrocera.

I first thought to Lispocephala, but since the mid and hind femora seemed orange to me, I fell back to Coenosia. But the season, and the posture speak more for Lispocephala, it's true. The picture fooled me.
